Persona 5 is an awesome game with an engaging storyline, riveting cast and wonderfully stylised anime graphics. While we would all like to share our experiences with the game online, we’d probably get hit with a ‘Cease and Desist’ order from Atlus. And sharing spoilers or recording too much past the in-game date of 7/7 will probably result in the termination of your YouTube account.
Now, while this makes it hard to do a proper review, it certainly doesn’t make the game any less spectacular and I’m just glad we are finally able to get it after all the delays. Furthermore, I actually agree with Atlus’ decision to block any spoilers from being released prematurely. They’ve worked hard on the story and since they released the game earlier in Japan, sales would have plummeted overseas if someone from Japan had uploaded and translated the full gameplay.
Atlus is trying their best to do as much damage control as possible since they weren’t able to release the different game versions at once. And as much as I wish I could record my gameplay, I understand that spoilers will make it pointless for some people to purchase the game.
All in all, don’t be too mad at Atlus because they’re just trying to recoup the money spent. If you really want to find out more about the story, I highly suggest purchasing your own copy and experiencing the game for yourself.
