EA and Maxis have confirmed that the ever popular franchise is now coming to Android and iOS via Google Play and the App Store. This isn’t the first time the series has tested the free-to-play waters; The Sims Freeplay was launched in 2011 for iOS before moving on to other platforms and The Sims Social debuted in the same year for Facebook but shut down two years later.
Unlike its predecessors, The Sims Mobile will utilitse The Sims 4’s “legacy challenge” whereby players have to task themselves with building and maintaining a family across generations. It will also be a free-to-play game with social elements, letting players become virtual best friends with their real-life best friends.
The Sims Mobile game is only available in Brazil as of right now but will be released in other parts of the world soon.
