Players of Overwatch can look forward to more than just the launch of a new map in the latest PTR update.
The release hardly comes as a surprise with the recent teaser dropped by Blizzard – rather, it comes in the form of two legendary D.Va and Genji skins, as well as changes to McCree, Reaper, and Roadhog.
Game director Jeff Kaplan carried out his earlier promise of making Oni Genji and Officer D.Va available to non-Heroes of the Storm players, who have expressed much frustration regarding the giveaway and said game’s mechanics. However, it is to be noted that the likelihood of obtaining them remains low, just as with other legendary-class skins.
A major update has been given to Reaper, whose passive ability to collect health orbs from downed enemies is now replaced with the skill to turn 20 percent of the total damage done to other heroes into health points.
Other smaller tweaks include McCree’s “Deadeye”, in which more damage is accumulated in the first second – with an increase from 20 to 80, while targets are now locked on after 0.2 seconds, instead of 0.8 seconds.
The head hitbox size of Roadhog is also reduced by 20% to “increase his survivability”.
All changes are currently live only on PC, but will make their way over to console soon.
