Capcom has announced in their official video that the latest DLC featuring iconic character Chris Redfield will be delayed. It was first slated for release in Spring 2017 but has now been postponed to a later, unconfirmed date.

“In light of the incredible reception of Resident Evil 7, we concluded that this DLC was not good enough to meet those high expectations,” said game director¬†Koshi Nakanishi.

Producer Masachika Kawata also added, “Our aim is for this content to match the high quality of the main game, so we need more development time in order to achieve that goal.”

They have however, reassured fans that the DLC will still be released for free as previously promised and teased that a further piece of DLC is also in the works.
