‘Life is Strange 2’ Confirmed, Paving the Way for LGBTQ Games

Max is back for another time-travelling, choice- based emotional rollercoaster in this Life is Strange 2.

Dontnod Entertainment, the brains behind the highly successful Life is Strange game, has confirmed a sequel to its highly popular game. In the video, they thank all their fans for their overwhelming support and report that they are in the midst of making Life is Strange 2.

If you are unfamiliar with Life is Strange, it is a choice-based episodic game following an introverted and creative young individual named Max. The game is notable not only for its intriguing storyline that hits some poignant and dark themes, but also because it features a same-sex couple. This lesbian couple is portrayed in a more realistic manner, a huge step up from how lesbians are usually stereotypically portrayed as.

Given the good reception of the game, it has helped pave the way for more progressive and realistic games to feature more LGBTQ characters and themes in the future.

The release date of Life is Strange 2 has yet to be announced.
